Shafbuild is a boutique design and build practice, founded on a simple belief: that the best projects come from holding design, approvals, and construction under one accountable team.
Most builds are fragmented, an architect designs, a consultant approves, a builder constructs, and the gaps between them cost owners time, money, and intent. Shafbuild was built to close those gaps. We lead every stage ourselves, so the project that's drawn is the project that gets built.
We take on a limited number of projects, residential and commercial, and bring the highest standard to each: early involvement, single point accountability, and known for going above and beyond.
Who We Are
Danial Shafei
Managing Director. Licensed Builder. NSW Building Practitioner Class 2. Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours).
Danial has a deep passion for construction, architecture, and the built environment. Not as an industry, but as something far more personal. A place where history, culture, art, and human endeavour converge with something greater than all of it. For Danial, the built world is where his passions and his faith meet. The belief that what we build with our hands, when done with care and intent, is an expression of something meaningful.
Danial started as a cadet and spent 14 years working through every level of the industry, from the ground up through to leading major residential and commercial programmes worth tens of millions of dollars. Few builders have seen the full picture from every angle.
Working with Dan means that experience is in your corner from day one. Clients describe him as personable, straightforward, and genuinely easy to work with. The calls get returned, the decisions get made, and the project moves forward.

Shafbuild holds a NSW Class 2 Building Practitioner licence, the registration required to design and build apartment and multi-dwelling residential work under the Design and Building Practitioners Act. It's a credential most builders don't carry, and it reflects how we operate across every project: declared, documented, and personally accountable. Whether it's a home or multi-dwellings or commercial projects, you get a builder the regulator recognises and a standard the law demands.
