Shafbuild is a Sydney based construction company led by Danial Shafei. We specialise in delivering well executed, high quality work across commercial upgrades, institutional refurbishments, boutique residential projects, and low to mid rise construction. From feasibility to handover, we lead with strong systems, clear communication, and a deep respect for craftsmanship.

Our Founder and Managing Director
Danial Shafei
Danial Shafei’s journey through the construction industry has been defined by relentless work ethic, deep operational insight, and a commitment to delivering real results.
Graduating with Honours in Construction Management from UTS, Danial began his career from the ground up, spending years on site, learning the realities of construction before moving into project leadership. His experience spans everything from hands on supervision to managing multi million dollar developments, giving him a rare perspective on how quality, time, cost, and people truly intersect.
Over the years, he has delivered across a wide range of project types from $250M+ large scale residential developments to bespoke architectural builds and high spec commercial fitouts. This diverse exposure has shaped a builder who understands both the scale and the nuance required to deliver work that lasts.
In a former role leading national operations and construction across NSW, QLD, ACT, and VIC, Danial was tasked with helping stabilise the business during a period of internal change and growing pressure. Key systems and structures needed improvement, and team cohesion was low. With minimal senior support, Danial took initiative, overseeing WHS, operations, finance, tendering, and project delivery. Managing a portfolio exceeding $40M, he brought clarity, built structure, and restored confidence through calm leadership and hands on action.
Today, Danial brings that same depth of experience and leadership to Shafbuild, a company built on strong values, high standards, and modern systems. While proud of the path he’s walked, he stays focused on what matters: building trust, leading with integrity, and delivering work that stands the test of time.
